System Engineering

Com-N-Sense uses a systems engineering approach to examine every element of a problem, and how these elements connect and relate. Com-N-Sense system engineering is frequently an extension of technology consulting and problem analysis. Com-N-Sense also evaluates existing industrial systems to determine how they can be optimized.

Technology Consulting

Com-N-Sense identifies technologies that provide an optimal response to client requirements. These may include custom solutions, off-the-shelf implementations or adaptation of technologies across various domains and industries.

Problem Analysis

Com-N-Sense approaches each project with a fresh approach, solving problems by first determining the required performance parameters, results and the objectives for each stage of a solution. Once a complete analysis has been conducted systematically and in-depth, Com-N-Sense identifies potential solutions.

Algorithm Development

Where development of algorithms is identified as a solution component, Com-N-Sense writes targeted code to meet exact performance requirements. While generic algorithms claim to solve a wide variety of cases, they frequently fail the test of real-world results in specific situations.

Device/Component Integration

Turnkey Solutions

Com-N-Sense designs, develops and delivers complete, turnkey   solutions for its clients. Deliveries include all required software, mechanical devices, components, training and documentation. Com-N-Sense also provides ongoing support and consulting services for clients and partners.

Com-N-Sense experience includes turnkey solutions for automating visual inspection of potash production; agricultural systems to save manpower costs while and improve the quality and speed of fruit selection; and the upgrade of C4I systems.

Black Box Solutions

Another Com-N-Sense specialty is providing black box solutions to upgrade and add capabilities to operational systems. After receiving an input and output interface along with relevant parameters from the customer Com-N-Sense designs contained solutions to provide the desired intermediate functionality.

Com-N-Sense has provided black box components for antenna control for airborne C4I systems; for implementing signal processing for a medical early warning device; for pattern detection algorithms on a real-time UAV video stream; among many other implementations.

Proof of Concept / Technology Demonstrator

Where verification is required to determine that a concept or solution can be implemented, Com-N-Sense conducts comprehensive brainstorming, a proof of concept and detailed technology experimentations and demonstrations to assess a solution’s feasibility.

Over the years, Com-N-Sense has provided many technology demonstrators for companies of all sizes, ranging from signal processing of barking dogs to image processing for outdoor visible leak detection (LDAR) at industrial plants.
